Hypopituitarism Hypopituitarism means the partial or complete deficiency of anterior and posterior pituitary hormone secretion. It occurs frequency in clinical endocrine practice and causes a wide variety of symptoms and signs which are influenced by the aetiology and rate of onset of the disorder. Both the anatomical and physiological aspects of the pituitary should be considered when investigating a patient with suspected hypopituitarism.
